Looking for amazing photoshoot locations in Oregon?? I’ve got a few of THE BEST right here in this post!! While my own specific session spots are exclusive to my clients – I’m stoked to share some easily accessible spots for photographers in the PNW. If you need help with where to take senior photos in Oregon, I can help! I’m sharing my just 9 epic photo locations, but I have TONS more available exclusively for my clients!! I love location scouting, and am so happy to help each client choose the perfect spot for their photos!
Before you get your heart set on a location, you’ll want to make sure it works for your timeline, level of energy, and budget. Some of these locations are better to go to during the spring vs summer vs fall. Other locations, like Cannon Beach, will require at least a day from you when you factor in photoshoot time and travel.
You’ll also want to consider the budget you’re working with for your senior photos. You can view more information about my current packages here.
Located in Benton County, this is the highest peak in the Oregon Coast Range! There are a few easy trail options for easy mountain exploration in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. You can browse trail options; Meadowedge Trail, East Ridge Trail, North Ridge Trail, Summit Trail, and Tie Trail. Or check out the Trail Guide below! If you’re looking for a photoshoot location in Oregon that has wide open meadows, mountain views, and even wildflowers in the Spring/Summer: check out Mary’s Peak!
We’re so lucky in Oregon to have lakes across the whole state. This session was at a lake on the Oregon Coast, and there are several wonderful locations around Oregon that we could try.
If you’re looking for adventurous and slightly dreamy photos, senior photos at the lakes might be for you! You’ll want to be sure to book an adventure session to allow for enough time to venture out to a lake.
Dreaming of a moody PNW coastal photoshoot? This section of the beach in Florence, Oregon is PERFECT! With those classic cliffside forests and epic rocky formations that line the shore; this beach photoshoot location in Oregon is a really unique spot for senior photos! While there’s plenty of spots along the coast of Oregon, this one definitely is one of my favorite! Just an hour from Eugene, Florence has miles of coastline and lots of great locations to take photos!
There are so many wonderful forests within and outside of Portland, and this spot is perfect with its winding paths and majestic redwoods!
Chapman beach is another gorgeous part of the Oregon coast for photos. Located just under two hours from Portland, this spot and Cannon Beach offer SO many incredible senior photo locations! I have spent countless hours exploring the PNW coast and have a long list of incredible places for senior adventure sessions like this one!! Chapman Beach is a popular choice – and for good reason! The epic cliffside views of the coast, the soft yellow sand meeting the rock-adorned shore; it’s the perfect photoshoot location for any occasion!
Cannon Beach is the epitome of Oregon vibes, so much so that you might have seen it trending in a reel on Instagram. This area is gorgeous with so many options for taking your senior photos, from the forests of the Oregon coast to the beach. You can also make a trip of it and visit a couple of touristy spots while you’re here.
This area gives major wanderlust vibes, so if you’re adventurous at heart, you’ll want to consider Cannon Beach for your senior photos!
Champoeg State Park is a beautiful grassy area in Newberg, Oregon. This is a great place to take your senior photos if you want lots of green in your photos. If you live in the Portland area, it’s also a great place as Newberg is a short drive away.
I love this location for my fall seniors, as the grassy areas can really complement gorgeous fall outfits!
Located about 30-60 minutes outside of Portland, the Columbia River Gorge is a hit amongst my spring seniors! If you’re looking for wildflower aesthetics in your senior photos, the Gorge is the place to go. Depending on when we go, we can also get some stellar sunset photos.
Spring spots for the Gorge book up quickly so even if we’re not close to spring when you’re reading this, it’s best to reach out now so that you can get on the wait list.
To get Columbia River Gorge senior photos, consider booking an Adventure Shoot with me. You can learn more about that package here.
You might have heard of Mount Hood before for its popularity for skiing and snowboarding. It’s also a stunning place in the spring, summer, and autumn for senior photos! We can get great grassy photos and adventure along the rocky paths.
If you’re looking for jaw-dropping backdrops in your senior photos, this is THE place to go. You’ll also need to book an Adventure Session.
