experience-centered photography for couples that want a beautifully documented + meaningful wedding day
When Daisy and Anthony booked me as their elopement photographer, they knew they wanted something special and unique to them. They wanted a day filled with adventure, nature, and intimate moments that make elopements in Oregon so special. Their Cannon Beach elopement delivered all of that and more, complete with puffin sightings at Cannon Beach Oregon Haystack Rock, a surprise elk encounter, the dreamiest garden cottage, heartfelt vows, and pizza to celebrate!
If you’ve been dreaming about a Cannon Beach elopement that feels more like an adventure than a traditional wedding, keep reading. This day is proof you can have it all!

Daisy and Anthony’s day started at the most enchanting Airbnb, at a Tall Woods Cabin. This magical garden cottage tucked into the coastal forest was honestly like stepping into a fairy tale. With its rustic charm, surrounding foxgloves in full bloom, and lush greenery everywhere you looked, it was the perfect hideaway for their elopement day.
The cabin had these gorgeous big windows that let in the most dreamy natural light, and the garden outside was bursting with colorful flowers — yellow lupines, pink roses, and those tall purple foxgloves that made everything feel extra whimsical. The cottage itself had that perfect Pacific Northwest cabin vibe with wood shingles and a turret-style roof that added to the storybook feel.
Daisy and Anthony chose to spend their entire day together from start to finish! I captured sweet moments of them getting ready in the cabin, looking out those beautiful windows, and taking in the peaceful morning surrounded by nature.
I loved capturing all the special details; Daisy’s elegant flowing veil, her absolutely stunning lace long-sleeved wedding dress with its romantic silhouette, the gorgeous cream and white bouquet with trailing greenery, and all those intimate getting-ready moments. Anthony looked so handsome in his classic black suit, and watching them prepare for their day together was such a privilege.

There’s something extra special about photographing couples in a space that feels so intimate and personal, and Tall Woods Cabin delivered that in spades.

Fun fact: Tall Woods Cabin is one of those hidden gems on Airbnb that truly delivers on the fairytale cottage vibes. The garden setting alone is worth the booking! If you’re planning your own Cannon Beach elopement, definitely look for unique stays like this that add layers of magic to your day.
After getting ready, Daisy and Anthony headed to one of Cannon Beach’s most iconic locations — Haystack Rock! But this wasn’t just any stop at Haystack Rock. These two were on a mission to spot puffins, and let me tell you, the Oregon Coast did not disappoint!
Haystack Rock is home to a nesting colony of tufted puffins during the summer months, and Daisy and Anthony were so excited to see them in person. Watching them search the rocks with binoculars in hand, pointing out the puffins as they flew overhead, was absolutely adorable. It’s not every day you get to combine wildlife watching with your elopement, but that’s what makes Cannon Beach such a special place!

We captured some stunning portraits with Haystack Rock in the background, and the joy on their faces as they spotted the puffins made for the most genuine, happy photos. If you’re a nature lover planning your own Cannon Beach elopement, definitely plan some time for puffin viewing, it’s a memory you won’t forget!

Pro Tip: Puffins nest at Haystack Rock from April through August, so if you’re hoping to spot them during your elopement, plan your date during those months!
Just when we thought the day couldn’t get any more magical, Daisy and Anthony had the most incredible surprise, an elk sighting! As we were exploring one of the scenic coastal areas, we spotted a majestic elk just hanging out near the trees.
Daisy and Anthony were absolutely thrilled! We paused to take in the moment. There’s something about these unexpected wildlife encounters that make elopements on the Oregon Coast feel even more special. You really never know what you’re going to see!
The elk encounter was one of those moments that reminded me why I love photographing elopements in places like Cannon Beach. When you choose to elope outdoors, you’re opening yourself up to all the beautiful surprises nature has to offer.

After soaking in the cabin’s beauty, it was time for Daisy and Anthony to exchange vows. And can we talk about this ceremony location? Right there in the lush garden at Tall Woods Cabin, surrounded by towering evergreens, vibrant foxgloves, roses, and wildflowers. It was the epitome of Pacific Northwest romance!
They stood facing each other in this intimate garden space, with just nature as their witness. You could see the raw emotion on their faces as they shared their promises. Anthony held Daisy’s hands so tenderly, and the way they looked at each other? Pure magic.

Daisy’s lace sleeves and flowing veil caught the breeze beautifully, and that moment when Anthony helped arrange her veil as it fluttered was absolutely swoon-worthy. These genuine, unscripted moments make elopements so special to photograph.

Their ceremony was simple, heartfelt, and completely focused on each other. No distractions, no stress, just two people madly in love making a lifelong commitment in one of the most beautiful garden settings on the Oregon Coast.
One of the best things about eloping in Oregon? You don’t need an officiant! Couples can self-solemnize, which means it’s just you, your partner, and your vows.
One of my favorite moments was Daisy sitting on the rustic wooden bench in the garden, her dress flowing beautifully around her. Then there were those sweet moments of them walking together, with Anthony gently holding Daisy’s veil through the garden paths. These little gestures of care and love? That’s the good stuff.
We also captured detail shots — their vows on beautiful stationery, Daisy’s stunning white and cream bouquet, a vintage hand mirror, and an instant camera they brought to capture their own memories. I loved that they brought props that felt personal!

Pro Tip: When choosing your elopement location, look for places with multiple photo opportunities! Gardens give you so much variety—from intimate close-ups surrounded by flowers to wider landscape shots.
After a full day of adventure, wildlife spotting, and saying “I do,” Daisy and Anthony ended their elopement the best way possible with pizza! They grabbed slices from a local Cannon Beach spot and enjoyed their first meal as a married couple.

There’s something so refreshingly real about ending your wedding day with pizza instead of a formal dinner. It perfectly captured their laid-back, fun-loving vibe. They sat together, laughed about all the incredible moments from their day, and just enjoyed being newlyweds.
