The PNW is absolutely STUNNING for fall senior pictures. It's one of my favorite times of the year to shoot senior portraits, because the foliage brings allll the vibes.
This guide was created to help you choose your location for your senior photoshoot this fall. No exact locations will be named in the guide in order to keep that information for booked seniors only. After you book with me you will get the name of the locations/location pin.

If you love flowers & golden hour this is for you! I know some of you wanted a spring wildflower shoot but forgot to bok early enough, so this is a great option if you want a summer/fall shoot but still want flowers. Reach out about peak bloom dates!! This is a Local Session Location.

For the Camas/Vancouver seniors (& whoever else loves this spot) this river/forest location is a dream! Cute bridge, forest, & rocky river spots. This is an Adventure Session Location.

.5 mile walk required for this location!! Amazing coastal forest, rocky surfer beach, and cliffside overlook. This spot has it all! This is an Adventure Session Location.

This location has the pretty red/orange rocky cliffs that a lot of people love. The forest here is a unique one and different from most of the coastal forests. Low tide ONLY for this one. This is an Adventure Session Location.

**this is where the "la push" twilight scene was filmed!!!**
Coastal forest, sea stacks, rocky coast, & cute bridge. This spot does require some walking to get to certain spots. This is an Adventure Session Location.

Dunes grass, dark rocky cliffs, the ocean & the occasional elk show up at this spot! Super accessible as long as you can walk around in the dunes a bit. This is an Adventure Session Location.
Which month is best for fall senior pictures?

One consideration you should make is yearbook senior photo due dates! Check with your school ASAP and ask what date the yearbook is due & ideally you'd have your shoot 4-6 weeks before that date. I have a rush gallery delivery fee option available if they are not able to schedule your shoot 4-6 weeks before your senior photo yearbook due date.
November is normally the rainiest fall month but don't let that scare you away! I've had beautiful November shoots many times. I highly suggest booking the earliest you can so that if it is rainy on your shoot date, we have plenty of time for a reschedule. I'm taking 2 September bookings.
September is going to have the nicest weather & September dates always book up the quickest! I love Mount Hood and the coast in September espeically. I'm taking 7 September bookings.
Mid October - early November typically has the best fall colors. You'll notice tons of beautiful foliage in your fall senior pictures! Might run into rain, but we will reschedule if your date is super rainy! I'm taking 7 October bookings.

Now that your session is officially booked, it's time to plan your location, outfits, and other details for your shoot. You'll receive a session guide + session questionnaire with all the info you need! After your shoot is booked, feel free to email or dm me with any questions or concerns up until the day of your shoot.
SESSION GUIDE + QUESTIONNAIRE
It's the day of your shoot! You will hear from me the day before your shoot with a weather report, any concerns or changes to the location, and anything specific you need to bring!
You should expect to receive a preview gallery of your session within 48 hours of your shoot and your full gallery 4-6 weeks after your shoot!

From the very beginning she was willing to answer all my questions so quickly and made sure that I was completely ready for my shoot. The day of was even better, she was so sweet and made me feel incredibly comfortable. While listening to music and taking pictures Emily did an amazing job of making the entire experience something special that will forever be treasured. I first found out about Emily through Instagram. I just absolutely loved her style of photos from the way she edits them to the amazing outdoor locations! Emily was so helpful for the entire process, from finding outfits and a location, to receiving my photos. She made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera and my photos look amazing and very natural. One of my favorite things about my shoot was the location, which was on Mt. Hood. The really cool thing was that Emily was able to incorporate the mountain in the background so all together it just looks perfect! Ready to kick off your shoot? Get in touch!
Yes, I do! I’m always up for helping my clients out! After the initial 20% retainer fee to book your date, I’m extremely flexible with quarterly payments or monthly payments leading up to your session.
You'll receive your full gallery within 5-7 weeks of your photoshoot! + I deliver sneak peek galleries with 10 photos in 72 hours after your shoot!
It all depends on how bad - if it’s going to downpour and make you uncomfortable or ruin my gear, we will always reschedule. If it’s more of a misty/moody day, we will definitely still shoot! In fact the moodier and mistier weather can often create the most beautiful photos. Those overcast days are some of my favorite!

do you give us the raw photos?
I use a site called Pic-time to deliver all my galleries! After I've finished editing your photos, I will send over an email that will contain a link to your online gallery where you can access all of your images in web-size and high-resolution. You will be able to download them from there using a phone or a laptop.
The LOCAL session includes 60 images. The ADVENTURE package includes 100 images. The BIG ADVENTURE package includes 120 images.
No I do not send or share any unedited RAW photos. I own full creative rights to the images and therefore only deliver edited high res images.
