This Oregon waterfall elopement in the Umpqua National Forest was a total dream!! If you’re envisioning the most romantic Oregon elopement location possible – then this post is for you! Imagine walking through an enchanting PNW rainforest; with towering trees and moss lined trails, and then ending up at a gorgeous waterfall viewpoint! This is all possible over here on the west coast – and Oregon has some MAGICAL waterfall trails that are pretty accessible!
Emma and Ari’s waterfall elopement photos were at the gorgeous Spirit Falls, just outside of Eugene, Oregon! Just one of the many waterfalls in the Umpqua National Forest. Here’s a list of 5 of the best waterfalls in Oregon for an elopement!
The epic waterfall featured in this post! A quick and easy ~15 minute hike will get you to this serene spot. I pretty much can guarantee you’ll never want to leave!! This spot is located in the Umpqua National Forest, a little over an hour from Eugene.
This easy 1.6 miles loop through the Willamette National Forest brings you to a waterfall fit for fairytales! Featuring lava fields and the classic dense forests of Oregon, this trail is the perfect spot for an elopement adventure! As with most places, parking requires a $5/vehicle or valid recreation pass.
Another epic and easy trail in the Willamette National Forest. Located right off the main road, Sahalie has viewing platform less than 100 ft from the parking lot and is wheelchair accessible as well! You also have the option to continue onto the longer loop to check out Koosah Falls (2.6 miles) Why not extend the adventure! The Koosah Falls campground is the perfect spot for an intimate campfire celebration after your elopement adventure!
You have the option to do the full 2 mile loop to see the upper falls, or stick to the quick and easy 5 minute stroll to the lower falls. This one you can walk right up to (and even behind if you want to cool off!) Since it is one of the easier locations to get to, and right near the Columbia River Gorge; this trail can be popular during peak seasons/days.
While rated moderately challenging, this trail is short (0.7m) and it’s well worth the views. Located in the beautiful Santiam State Forest, this hike is best for the more adventurous elopement (boots required!) and some hiking experience is recommended!
These are just a few epic elopement locations in Oregon! I have many more spots I have ready to offer my elopement clients; I LOVE scouting the best spots to adventure in the PNW! I’m always happy to offer my couples an extra advice on locations, and tips on choosing the right trail/location for your needs!
